Hey Kiks! Gotta ask... Is the King of Rodalia based on a character of the Fist of the North Star? Given I can seem to see various characters of the story have some inspiration (The ballon gal totally reminds me of Parodius).

And Tobias has such a Raoh or Souther psyche.
